At SAS Counselling, we believe that every individual holds the innate capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change. Our practice is built on creating a safe, supportive, and culturally attuned space where clients can explore their inner experiences, navigate life’s challenges, and strengthen their emotional well‑being.
We are committed to providing compassionate, culturally grounded therapy for individuals from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on serving marginalized and minority communities. This includes Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), immigrant populations, and those whose identities and experiences are shaped by migration, culture, and faith. We are especially honoured to support Muslim individuals, couples, families, and communities, offering care that respects and integrates cultural values, spiritual beliefs, and community contexts.
Our work is rooted in anti‑oppressive, strength‑based, client‑centred, and trauma‑informed approaches. We strive to ensure that every client feels seen, respected, and empowered. At SAS Counselling, therapy is not only a place for healing; it is a space where identity, resilience, and lived experience are honoured and uplifted.
As a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience, we specialize in providing individual, couple, family, and group therapy that supports clients through complex life transitions and emotional challenges. Our practice is grounded in extensive training across eclectic, evidence‑based therapeutic modalities, allowing us to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and cultural context.
We bring a deep understanding of trauma, identity, relationships, and community‑based healing, offering care that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and rooted in best practice. Whether supporting individuals, couples, families, or groups, our goal is to help clients build resilience, strengthen connection, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Our approach is holistic, collaborative, and deeply personalized. We work closely with clients to clarify their goals and develop a treatment plan that reflects their unique experiences, strengths, and cultural identities. By integrating a range of evidence‑based therapeutic modalities, we ensure that each client receives care that is both effective and meaningful.
Our practice draws from Narrative Therapy, the Tree of Life methodology, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness‑Based Therapy, Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF‑CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This eclectic approach allows us to tailor sessions to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, supporting healing, resilience, and lasting change.
At SAS Counselling, therapy is a collaborative journey, one where clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped with tools that honour their stories and strengthen their well‑being.
We offer both virtual and in‑person therapy sessions to ensure accessibility, comfort, and flexibility for all clients. Whether you prefer meeting online or coming into our welcoming office space, we are here to support you in the way that feels right for you.
